Who is The Other Woman?
The two met at a work event in London, and their instant chemistry was too much to ignore. Soon, the two are spending all their time together. Things are going great for Emily, who now has her dream guy in hand, until Adam wants her to meet his mother, Pammie. Instantly, the twenty-seven-year-old Emily has her love bubble popped by Pammie, who from the get-go takes issue with her, picking one fight after another in an attempt to drive a wedge between the happy couple. Sandie Jones goes for it all with her fast-paced, suspense-filled debut. Emily is a relatable lead character, and the dialogue reads genuine and true. Likewise, the characters are all nicely developed, especially Emily and Pammie, who drive the story for much of the book.
When Emily met Adam, she was quite surprised at how quickly she found herself enamored with him. After only a few weeks with him, she believes he is the one with whom she wants to spend the rest of her life. Then she meets The Other Woman in his life.

I have to say that the beginning of this novel was intriguing and I enjoyed. Yet, as the novel progressed, I found the plot irritating because Emily is foolish and spineless. There are many reasons why she should leave Adam, but she sticks to him. Emily is forced to cancel everything, and Adam goes to his mother for a few days. Emily confronts Pammie about her fake cancer, and the woman says that if she tells Adam, she will tell him about what happened with James. When they announce the news to Pammie, James has brought his girlfriend and they also have news: they are getting married. Once again Emily reacts strongly but Adam still supports his mother.
There's nothing a mother wouldn't do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants. Pammie is the mother-in-law from hell! I can assure you this book is really worth 5 stars' Rosemary on amazon.
