Description In this "superwonderrific" New York Times bestseller Jerry Spinelli , two bullied middle-school boys finally fight back with the power of funny. David and his best friend Michael were tagged with awful nicknames way back in preschool when everyone did silly things.
Pottymouth and Stoopid is the story of David and his best friend Michael. They got stuck with these nicknames, which they regard as unfair and extremely lousy, in preschool. I suppose, however, that if you use words such as fluffernuckles and griggleschnozzles in everyday conversations, a nickname such as Pottymouth may be merited. The same can probably be said for being called Stoopid if you constantly make social blunders. If everyone, including the teachers and school principal believe that these nicknames fit, it becomes very hard to get rid of them. David and Michael start using the same bullying tactics that are being used against them, but this does not work out well.
