Roadrunners Pajama Day – Long

The Pajama Program is a nonprofit organization that provides new pajamas and storybooks to at-risk children, especially those living in group homes, shelters, foster care and orphanages. Scholastic will donate a new book to go with every pair of pajamas. Shongum second grade teacher Ruth Contreras said that the school has donated more than pajamas to this cause over the past four years. The students in all four second grade classes participated. The specific information by district can be found at the bottom of this page. Residents, landscapers, contractors and lawn services may place loose leaves at the curb. Together with Scholastic Reading Club, second grade teacher Megan Biscobing initiated a pajama drive that began in her classroom and soon went school wide. Scholastic will pair a new book with every new pajama set or nightgown the school collects. The items will be donated to children and teens in homeless shelters, orphanages, foster care and group homes throughout the country. Since , Scholastic has donated almost half a million pairs of pajamas. PJs will be collected through Dec. Biscobing said they will bring the boxes along to the high school to collect any last minute donations.

Since , classrooms nationwide have collected and donated over , pajamas to at-risk children through Pajama Program, and Scholastic Book Clubs has more than matched that number by donating over one million books. This year, we are starting early. Our goal is to donate an additional , pajamas and match them with , brand-new books! Encourage families to donate brand-new pajamas with this parent letter also available in Spanish. For early reporting, click here. Within ten days of submitting your online donation form, you will receive an email from the Pajama Program chapter president in your area with instructions on where to deliver your collected pajamas to a community partner near you.

Scholastic Spring 2017 Online Preview – Middle Grade

For sports fans everywhere! For every in- school or individual pajama donation, Scholastic Book Clubs will match a new book for every child to help all. Scholastic Pajama Drive Thank you to all who were able to bring in pajam- as for the Scholastic Pajama Program this year. Our grand total was 43 pairs of pj' s ranging in sizes from infant to adult. Our goal this year is , pairs of new pajamas and , brand- new books to help kids in need have a safer and cozier good night. You helped to provide 70, pairs of pajamas and books to children in need through our partnership with Pajama Program! Pajama Program supports children living in shelters, group homes, and foster.

It's also the season to remember those who are less fortunate. Walnut Elementary 5th grade leadership students voted to host a service project to benefit not just one, but three organizations this month. Collection boxes were stationed in the main office during the two-week philanthropic drive that ended December Scholastic Book Clubs will also donate a new book through the non-profit Pajama Program to help give children in foster care, in poverty, or homeless a warmer good night. Students advertised their project with a video, morning broadcast, and by visiting classrooms to make connections with their peers.
