The show is an official, J. Now, the reasons for that are fairly well-documented. She helped conceive the story with Jack Thorne and John Tiffany but left the actual writing to Thorne. They feel the whole thing is too fan-servicey. Too different from the classic Potter tone. The characters are too obnoxious. And many think one character, in particular, is very, very problematic.
