After Anabelle: Guess How Much I Love YouEffused with tenderness, McBratney's wise, endearing, and droll story is enriched by the near-monochromatic backdrop of Jeram's pen-and-wash artwork, rendered earthy tones of moss, soft brown, and gray for a visually quieting effect just right for that last soothing tale before sleep. There's not a wrong note in this tender tale, which should become an endearing bedtime favorite — right up there with Goodnight Moon. Parent An extraordinary children's book that captures the unique dialogue between a parent and child. Anita Jeram's watercolor renderings of this endearing pair add sweet humor to a finely crafted book. Would you like to tell us about a lower price?
Guess how much I love you – in pictures
How far does someone love you? To the end of the earth? To the moon and back? Or perhaps you're struggling, like the father in Boston, Massachusetts, who told Sam McBratney that on a "bad night, my little girl only loves me to the door". For the past 20 years, millions of people have measured love in distance not quantity, inspired by the author's global bestseller, Guess How Much I Love You. The picture book describes how a baby hare and his dad compete to see which one loves the other more, with the father sneaking victory after his little one nods off after a long day. But it's a game anyone can play, smiles the gentle McBratney, who even two decades on seems surprised at his story's phenomenal popularity.
